Mickey Pye is the 2015 winner of Toyota Star Maker and a five time Golden Guitar Finalist.

Mickey released his debut album Unleashed in 2015 which peaked at #2 on the Australian Country Aria Charts with the first single When She's Drinkin’ debuting at #1 on the country i-tunes charts. The album scored Mickey a finalist spot in two golden guitar categories; Best New Talent and Instrumental of the year for the title track 'Unleashed'.

Mickey was a Golden Guitar finalist for instrumental of the year in 2016 with Buckle Up’, 2017 with ‘Porch Pickin’, and 2020 with 'Bridle Track.' 

Mickey has toured as guitarist for a long list of Australian country acts including Beccy Cole, Tania Kernaghan and Travis Collins. As a solo artist, he has had great success playing festivals across Australia, Canada and the USA.

Outside of performing, Mickey is the owner and founder of Bathurst Academy of Music, a performing arts Academy of over 350 students. He also works as music director for Fiji’s Tunes in the Tropics festival and is a supporter and leader at the CMAA Academy of Country Music in Tamworth.
